
Prevention Services
We provide a comprehensive, coordinated, and customized approach to effectively address the emotional, social, behavioral and health needs of students; remove barriers to learning and academic success; and improve the school community's learning environment. Our services link student improvement planning to student assistance, student health and school safety. We offer regional and on-site training, technical assistance and direct services in the following areas:
Student Assistance Program
We provide technical assistance, consultation, professional development, and school-wide prevention and intervention activities that promote healthy choices and decrease tobacco and other substance abuse. Direct services for at-risk students in grades 6-12 include counseling and individual/family interventions for a student's alcohol, tobacco or other drug use; and consultation for enhanced parent engagement.
Safe & Drug Free Schools/Communities
Our services provide technical assistance and support with Title IV compliance and coordination.
Healthy Youth Survey
Coordination and assistance with local data interpretation and integration into your school planning processes.
Olweus Bullying Prevention Program
Comprehensive school-wide effort implemented at three levels: school-wide, classroom and individual.
Crisis Recovery Services
Customized professional development to increase capacity to recover from crisis or loss and same day response for school crisis recovery.
Right Response Certification Training
Proactive strategies for caregivers and staff who support individuals with identified behavioral and aggression challenges.
Issues of Abuse
Required training (WAC 180-79-115) for administrators, certificated teachers and support staff to understand the signs and symptoms of abused children and how to make appropriate referrals.
Educational Advocacy
Services designed to reduce recidivism rates of at-risk youth who are involved with the juvenile justice system.
Tobacco Prevention Services
We provide technical assistance, support and consultation for tobacco policy development, enforcement and practices.
